This register of marriage certificates covers the years of 1913 to 1921 and consists of 156 pages. In 1914 52 marriages took place at Sandys Row, in 1915 there were only 30 marriages. Throughout the register the most common date for marriages is Christmas day. The printedcertificates are in Hebrew apart from signatures and dates, which are hand written. There are two loose pieces of paper inside one is a blank printed donation form for the synagogue with a short, illegible handwritten note on the back. The other is a printed arrears form with a handwritten note to ‘Mr Bronkhorst’.
